Step 1 : The first thing you will need to know is BIT TORRENTS are your friend over a program like, for example, Limewire or a peer sharing program. Bit torrents pull pieces of information from many different users instead of downloading from a direct host. There are two seperate things you will need to have in order to download bit torrents. A host program, and a bit torrent website. With that being said, you will first need to find a program. The one that I find works best is Azureus. You can find this program by clicking on that name there and it will take you to the main website. Once you download the site you are halfway to being able to find many different uses for this program.

Step 2 : The next step after download is complete is really to just find a bit torrent website and search what you are looking for. The best site that I’ve found is The Pirate Bay. This site will open up right away with a search bar. Here you can type in programs, i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, MAC OSX, or any movie, game, or really any computer program you wish.

Step 3 : Once you’ve typed in what you are looking for, a long list of different options will appear. For the most part these are all different versions of the same movie, however what you will be looking for is the number of seeders and leechers to the right of the result. Seeders are what are most important, because this number represents the number of individules sharing out that movie. The more seeders there are, the quicker your download will be. Make sure you also read the information about the movie once you click on the one you want, because this will tell you info on the movie, as well as if it is a DVD rip or someone who just sat in a theater and recorded with a camera. Read comments too, they tell you what actual users thought after downloading the movie.

Step 4 : Now that you’ve chosen the one you wish to download, and you’ve clicked on it, there should be an option above and below the information on the movie.  That option should say in big letters DOWNLOAD TORRENT.  Go ahead and click that link, and it should open a download box.  Go ahead and click save to computer and the source should be the desktop so that it will download directly to your desktop.

Step 5 : Once download is complete (it should only take a few seconds) you should go ahead and now open Azureus which should be in your programs.  Once you have that open, click on the torrent that downloaded to your desktop and drag it into Azureus.  An arrow should show up once you hover the torrent over the program, telling you where to drop the torrent.  Once you’ve done that your torrent should start to download, and once it’s all finished up you should have your new movie or program, fresh and ready to use!
